Singularity in coworking

The illustration created for the "Singularity" project within the coworking space at the Municipal Autonomous Cultural Institution "Art Space "VOSHOD" represents an innovative experiment aimed at achieving a delicate balance between graphics, the chopped geometry of the space, and AR technologies integrated into the project.

The guest's journey in the coworking space begins with a two-story mural resembling the geometric shape of a singularity, or a "black hole." In science fiction, a black hole is often associated with a rabbit hole, serving as a means of traveling through space and time. In this context, the mural symbolically connects the first and second floors of the coworking space, creating a sense of transition through the temporal-spatial boundary.

For this project, I proposed an innovative form of stylization involving text interacting with chaotic ASCII graphics. Considering that all space terminals operate in Latin characters, I decided to break the principles of the Russian language and transliterate words into the Latin keyboard. This decision was not aimed at undermining the fundamentals of the Cyrillic alphabet but rather at demonstrating the language's capabilities at intermediate stages of its digital evolution.

To identify the key characteristics of the style, we highlighted 4 foundations: ACCELERATION, CALMNESS, ATTRACTION, and BALANCE. These foundations also served as the basis for the concept and themes of the immersive part of the project. Through careful perception and analysis of these foundations, the viewer can experience changes in their state depending on the chosen meditation. In the illustration, the foundations act not only as compositional elements but also as symbolic content of the graphic narrative.

n addition to the significant illustration, the coworking space is infused with numerous AR objects and printed materials. Such a variety of elements helps create not just a workspace with tables, but a truly immersive space capable of providing comfort both in work and leisure.
